So I did this topic once before and I really like it. Because I liked all of these ideas enough for them to sit in my "drafts" folder for weeks. But, in the end, there wasn't enough to say about them to write a full post. But now I get to share them anyway!
Note: I was going to mention how I saw the Moulin Rouge when we went to Europe and it was a bit underwhelming. I even have a picture to show you all, but evidently my picture-organizing-and-putting-in-posts-er is broken or on strike. Later. (Edit: except the Keurig gif. That obviously needed to be created immediately.)

5 Posts I'd Like to Post (but Ran Out of Words for)
1. Mixed Metaphors - Shaken Not Slurred
"We've got a heads up." Wait... what? I didn't notice this butchered metaphor in one of my comments until after I'd left it. I'm pretty sure what I was going for was "head start" or "leg up" (you know, like on the competition, except that didn't apply in this case). But sure, heads up isn't too terribly confusing, is it?2. Some Things Just Aren't the Same
You know what I mean. You grow up and then suddenly the magic is lost. That activity that you loved and spent countless hours enjoying as a child? You can't quite remember why you like it anymore. Here are some things that have lost their charm as an adult:- Pools
- Spongebob
- Playing in the snow
- Dolls (and tea parties)
- Riding bikes aimlessly around the cul-de-sac (we used to imagine we were knights, or cowboys, or the 3 Musketeers)
3. Rage Post
I had a fair number of things I was annoyed about and I was going to let off some steam. After about 3 weeks of sitting in my drafts folder, though, I felt better mostly and decided to just let them go. Here's the abbreviated version:- Laziness - Specifically coworkers who don't fill up the Keurig when they use up the last of the water, leave their food bits in the sink, and complain about having to call in or pick up the lunch that we get provided to us FOR FREE by the company. Ugh.
- Unnecessary Negativity - Just random criticism. Eating a frozen meal, "Would you like some food with your chemicals?" Sharing excitement about starting a new class, "And how many online classes have you successfully passed?"
- Lack of Consideration - Anything and everything. Cigarette butt tossers, general litterers, people who hog the sidewalk, people who don't control their dogs when you jog by with your dog, and so on.
- Deception - Specifically being used by someone to absolve their bad behaviors. They'll give you an abbreviated, slanted version of the story, and you'll provide all kinds of sympathy, and then later you find out that it was only a tiny kernel of the story and there was no way you'd ever sympathize with what was really going on. Maybe it shouldn't be a big deal, but I still feel used.
- Pet Peeves - I have a lot, and I can tell when I'm starting to get into a negative mindset because the list grows. For the most part they're things I don't like about myself, or that I try really hard to fix (you know, the whole dark shadow theory). So when I start getting angry at other people, I also get angry at myself for not being able to be nicer.

| I made this just to document the lazy. (If you were wondering, I did fill it up, and not just because I wanted a cup of coffee) |
4. Movie Mashups I Wish Existed
Pirates of the Caribbean and Moulin Rouge. Just imagine it. Captain Jack swaggers in and steals Satine's heart away from the douche-y Duke. Then, instead of all that sad, death stuff, they run off together and live happily ever after, plundering and pillaging on the high seas!Note: I was going to mention how I saw the Moulin Rouge when we went to Europe and it was a bit underwhelming. I even have a picture to show you all, but evidently my picture-organizing-and-putting-in-posts-er is broken or on strike. Later. (Edit: except the Keurig gif. That obviously needed to be created immediately.)
Do you have posts that didn't work out? What movie mashups would you like to see?
